General principles
After you start the program, the Settings dialog box will be visible on the screen (see «Settings») and the Quick Input icon present in the system tray.
You can disable or enable Quick Input with a left click on the tray icon. If you right-click it, you will see the Quick Input popup menu.
Clicking the «Enable» menu item enables or disables Quick Input. If you click the «Settings» menu item, the Settings dialog box will open (see «Settings»). If you click the «Appearance» menu item, the dialog box will open where you can customize the appearance of the drop-down list with words in Quick Input (see «Appearance»). If you click the «Applications» menu item, the dialog box will open where you can select the applications you want Quick Input‘s assistance with (see «Applications»). If you click the «Dictionary» menu item, the dialog box will open where you can edit the Quick Input dictionary (see «Dictionary»). If you click the «About Quick Input...» menu item, the dialog box will open showing information about Quick Input (see «About Quick Input»). If you click the «Exit» menu item, the program will close and be erased from memory.
When you type text, Quick Input adds the words you type to the dictionary. While you are typing each word, Quick Input analyzes it and offers you a list of word variants. All you need to do is select the necessary word, press ’Enter‘ and the program will type it for you! This considerably reduces the time required to type text.
Each new word is automatically added after you insert a space, and press ’Enter‘ or ’Tab‘. Words are stored in the dictionary in lowercase. For Quick Input to type a word beginning with a capital letter, you must input the word using a capital letter. If you would like Quick Input to type a whole word in capital letters, the first two letters should be typed in uppercase.
Quick Input allows you to add selected words or entire sentences to the dictionary if you press the specified key combination (see «Settings»).
After the necessary word or sentence is selected and the specified key combination pressed, a tray notification will inform you that the selected text has been added to the dictionary.
